This tool does not send, transmit, store, save or submit your notes to HOMEFRONT. Use your browser's explicit copy, download or print actions when you want a record. Avoid confidential or regulated personal information.

The scope writer needs JavaScript to assemble your draft. Use the labeled prompts as a paper outline if document actions are unavailable. Scope notes cannot be submitted.

WORKSHOP NOTE / THE BOUNDARY IS THE POINT

What is included?
What is not?

An ambiguous scope can turn a reasonable project into a difficult conversation. The useful starting point is a specific written record of what is expected, what is outside the scope, and which decisions have not yet been made.

This is an educational document-organizing worksheet, not a California home improvement contract, change order, permit determination or legal review. If you use its draft in a formal agreement, confirm required language, licensing, signatures, disclosures and terms with a qualified professional.

03 / THE REVIEW METHOD

An empty field
isn't an agreement.

The document generator repeats only your entries and explicitly marks missing categories Not documented. It does not complete blanks by guessing products, quantities, rules, prices, timeframes or who will perform the work.

Review the actual site, measured conditions, written material/product specifications, scope interfaces, owner selections, exclusion boundaries, permit and inspection questions, approvals for changes, and closeout before using any portion in a formal contract.

Research reviewed October 11, 2026; check current CSLB guidance and obtain professional legal review as appropriate.
